MEET ELLIOTT

Elliott McClain is a pianist and composer whose music lives in the spaces between Americana, blues, jazz, and folk. His playing blends tradition and innovation, shaped by years of deep listening and spontaneous creation. Emotionally expressive and harmonically rich, his music is rooted in the moment and crafted for audiences who want to truly listen.

Elliott's approach to music-making is refreshingly direct. He creates performances that are live, personal, and improvisational, capturing the kind of authentic human expression that can only happen when musicianship and creativity meet in real time. His work honors the traditions that inspire him while pushing them forward with his own voice.

Born blind, Elliott discovered the piano at age four, immersing himself in his uncle's record collection, radio broadcasts, and live concert recordings. Those formative listening experiences shaped his musical foundation, fostering a deep appreciation for country, roots music, and the traditions of American popular song.

Elliott has performed as a soloist at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage and at some of Nashville's most prestigious venues, including the Ryman Auditorium, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, and the Ford Theatre at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. He continues to work as a session musician and performer, connecting with audiences through music that is intimate, introspective, and unmistakably his own.
